After seeing the olive dresser I refinished using DIY baking soda paint my sister asked if I would help her refinish a desk before she and her husband move into their new home.

We worked on her desk and I taught her the process I use to refinish a piece of furniture. She then moved on to her dresser and applied what she learned.
Check out my little sister’s first solo refinishing project!
She made her own batch of baking soda paint in Capulet Olive MyColor Paint inspired by Pantone. I think her antique dresser turned out beautifully!
She may have caught the refinishing bug! She also decided to repaint two rush seat bar stools and has plans to work on a bookcase next.
Don’t be afraid to give it a try! The results can be amazing even for beginners.

Hello Emmeline, What a talented family you are. I have never used chalk paint, but have made a note of what you did. Something for the future I think. I bet your sister is thrilled with the result, I know I would be. Best Wishes Daphne
