Sunday my husband and I traveled to The Old Lucketts Store for their annual Spring Market and to participate in a Hometalk blogger meetup.
I had so much fun seeing the sights and shopping through all the furniture, decor, vintage, and handmade treasures.
My pal Allison from The Golden Sycamore won a trip and we were able to finally meet in person.
Donna of Funky Junk Interiors, the queen of junk, was holding the power tools in the Hometalk tent and making some seriously awesome junktastic creations throughout the day.
Miriam of Hometalk and Karen The Graphics Fairy could also be found at the Hometalk tent and thankfully the rain held off so they ended up out front instead of huddled beneath it! I was so happy to meet Karen in person. She lives close to me and it’s so fun to get to connect and make real life connections with my online friends.
Marian aka Miss Mustard Seed was in the next tent selling her beautiful furniture creations and home decor. Can you believe this is the 4th time I’ve met Marian and somehow I still have yet to get a picture of us together! This year I didn’t even get a picture of her booth unless you count the corner of her tent that’s popping into the picture above! I picked up some black chalk and galvanized tags as well as 3 piano reels I plan to use as a photography backdrop behind my own furniture.
We were also able to meet up with J.B. from Building Moxie, Cassie of Primitive and Proper, Sarah The Thriftress, Nancy from Artsy Chicks Rule, and Sharon of Elizabeth & Co.
Sharon and Allison have some great posts about all there was to see at Lucketts. You can see their posts here and here.
I was able to chat with fellow blogger and booth vendor Traer. We met at a market last fall and it was nice to catch up. Traer and her friend Amanda team up and always have a lovely booth full of furniture and vintage finds. Their upholstered pieces always seem to steal the show!
I picked up some beautiful minty earrings when I visited with the ladies of Bel Monili and Junxtaposition. They’re sitting on an old slate tile I picked up at the market for $2!
Lucy (Bel Monili) also made the necklaces Allison and I were both wearing. We won them as part of the Creating with the Stars link up challenges.
It was a great day and I’m already excited to go back next year! Who knows. Maybe I will get over my fear of not having the time or space to get ready and commit to a booth of my own.
