My husband and I recently made the decision to make an effort to lose some weight and in general live a healthier more active lifestyle. We recently started a yoga program and have been faithfully making sure we don’t miss our workouts. So far the workouts are every other day (M,W,F) with weekends off but soon there will be optional weekend workouts and added workouts during the week. We even purchased and are using heart rate monitors to make sure we’re staying in our zones!! Hard core right here. Hopefully it pays off!
Along with trying to stick with the physical activity we also decided to clean out our pantry and fridge. We have been buying a ton more veggies and fruits and have replaced most of our snacks with healthier options. Instead of grabbing a granola bar I’m grabbing some yogurt dip and snap peas. Instead of packaged peanut butter crackers I’m opting for some natural peanut butter on celery. The kids still insist on cereal but my favorite breakfast is scrambled eggs in an avocado boat and I think some fruit and yogurt would be just as tasty.
With kids we can’t give up the snacks completely especially when we need something quick and easy to pack in the diaper bag.
When I had the chance to try Green Giant™ Garden Ranch Veggie Tortillas and Barbecue Multigrain Sweet Potato Chips I jumped on the opportunity.
I feel much better about my kids (and myself) eating chips loaded with whole grains and made with real vegetables.
My daughter loved the Garden Ranch Tortilla Chips and with an ingredient list that includes whole grain corn, red and green bell peppers*, quinoa, broccoli*, tomatoes*, and carrots* I felt good about letting her pick them as her snack with lunch.

I loved the Barbecue Sweet Potato Chips. Maybe too much! They were delicious. I seriously could have eaten the entire bag in one sitting, which would NOT have been good. They were crunchy, thin, and oh so tasty! With the weight loss goals in mind they will definitely be a treat but again I feel much better allowing myself to snack on something that is multigrain and made with real sweet potatoes.
Along with the new Garden Ranch and Barbecue chips Green Giant™ offers Zesty Cheddar Roasted Veggie Tortilla Chips and Sea Salt Multigrain Sweet Potato Chips. I definitely plan on trying the Sea Salt!
