This was our first year having to go “back to school”. Not quite back to school since it’s little lady’s first year in school but since I used to teach I have been a part of getting back into the school year schedule. It has taken a few weeks to get into the swing of getting the kids ready every morning, dropping off, and picking up every day.
Along with encouraging little lady to pick out what she wants to wear the night before we’ve been making sure we plan simple meals for dinner.
We always try to keep fresh veggies like broccoli, baby carrots, cauliflower, Brussel sprouts, and green beans in the fridge for a quick healthy side dish. We usually roast them for about 20 minutes with grapeseed/olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic.
We like to keep our main dishes simple too and I was happy to try out a quick Unsloppy Joes recipe using Pillsbury® Grands!®
The only substitution we made was using Corn Grands!® instead of the Original refrigerated biscuits. They turned out so tasty! The kids were a little tentative at first as they usually are with new dishes but they both ended up eating a half pocket.
Grands!® Chicken Pot Pie Puffs and Pepperoni Pizza Bake are next on my to-try list!
You can download a Pillsbury® recipe booklet which includes these and other recipes here.
I’d love to know which recipes you’d like to try!
