For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die;
a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal;a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh;a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together;a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;a time to seek, and a time to lose;a time to keep, and a time to cast away;a time to tear, and a time to sew;a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; a time to love, and a time to hate;a time for war, and a time for peace.
{Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 English Standard Version Bible}
Two weeks ago my husband’s grandmother passed away. The blog has been quiet as we’ve been spending extra time with family. Last week was completely devoted to cleaning and packing up grandma’s home. It was an amazing time for me to see her life through the memories of her children and grandchildren. Precious photos, mementos, and items from time gone by.
My husband’s grandfather owned a clock business and my husband has many fond memories of “helping” in his workshop.
Last week he was given his grandfather’s pocket watch, an item that we will treasure for years to come.
It now sits in its little clock cloche on my husband’s dresser and will be a daily reminder of time in all its forms; past, present, and future.
A reminder to:
slow down
enjoy little moments
make memories
love one another today
steal a hug
send a letter
smile
be grateful
give thanks

Sorry to hear about nana…:( death does teach us how precious time is and though this time on Earth is transient, we need to make it count and fill our lives with love. The watch is beautiful in every way…xo
