Welcome! I hope you are having an amazing December so far. It’s been cold around here so I’ve been busy decorating indoors!
I did have to brave the snow and dig out my pile of holly on the back porch though!
When I saw an adorable bud vase garland at Urban Outfitters, I immediately knew I could make my own AND that it would be perfect for decorating seasonal shelves and mantels.
I used a set of antique medicine bottles I was given but any small vase with a lip would be perfect!
To make my garland perfect for Christmas I decided to use red wire from the craft store. They also had silver, gold, and green. Since this is a really easy project, you could pick up a spool of each and change the wire out as the seasons or your decor change.
1. Leave about two feet of extra wire before attaching the first bottle so you have enough for hanging. Wrap the wire around the bottle and twist several times at the back of the bottle.
4. Fill with flowers of greens! I used holly to go with my red and green vignette!
How’s that for a super simple DIY garland? I’m looking forward to using it again for other seasons and holidays! The possibilities are endless.
Thanks for dropping in today! I’ve had so much fun sharing our seasonal DIY’s with you and have really enjoyed sharing the talents of some of my blogging friends too! Remember to stop back tomorrow. The series runs straight up to Christmas!
