Built-in Wall-to-Wall Window Bench and Plate Rack : One Room Challenge Week 3

April 16, 2015 ·

I’m always racing against the clock to get my One Room Challenge posts up on Thursday!

This week was a busy week for my husband.  He almost finished our wall-to-wall window bench and plate racks.  He redirected the floor vent so the air/heat will now come out a grate in the front of the window bench.  All that’s left is filling, caulking, painting, and adding in the plate rack guards.  We have something special planned for those and I can’t wait until they’re in place.

This week I hope to start painting our hutch and buffet and my husband is going to pick up drywall and crown molding to address the nasty textured ceiling situation!
Last week I shared the rest of our plans for the space AND hopefully we’ll get to all of them.
Ready to see how the other participants rooms are coming along?  Stop over at the One Room Challenge weekly link party to check them all out!

Your hubs did such fantastic job, you must be really proud of him, that's quite a project. Love it all and smart he remembered to deal with the vent. Can hardly wait now to see how it all looks when painted and items installed on shelves. Your room looks awesome. Lucky to have cooperative hubs. Yeah that means I could wait til I got young again before my hubs would even attempt what yours did, can I give my hubs credit of being an old man with bum knee? lol
Enjoy it all, you've worked hard for it. Happy weekend
