Happy Holidays friends!
Who’s been enjoying seeing all the lovely Christmas home tours around the web and on social media?! I know I have.
In our home most of the Christmas decor is geared to our kids. A live tree decorated by the kids with their own ornaments, a terrarium filled with the tiny gingerbread houses we decorated last week, and a wooden play nativity set & vintage wooden peg soldier train set out on the floor for the kids to play with.
This year, I decided to carve out a little space for some pretty winter decor in my style. Our tiny foyer was the perfect spot to give a holiday makeover especially since it’s where we and our guests come and go. It’s so fun to be welcomed in with a burst of holiday cheer.

I started decorating this space by hanging a wintry wreath on the interior of our front door. Dressing the interior of doors is a great way to utilize space, especially in room where the space is limited. A double sided wreath hanger is the perfect way to hang a wreath on the interior and exterior of an entry door!
Next up, I set up a little Christmas tree farm complete with german glass glittered trees and a barn for the backdrop. I found the cute little wood tree and barn cutouts at Joann Craft Store and used tacky glue to adhere german glass glitter. Love a little sparkle in my holiday decor! My ceramic cottage was found in the Target Dollar Spot, but for a simple natural look this house luminary on Amazon would be perfect. My mix of sisal trees has been collected over the years at different craft stores. I love this white, green, and gold sisal tree set – or this set of blue green sisal trees – or this set of deep green sisal trees would look great too.
A roll of rose gold foil Christmas tree kraft wrapping paper worked perfectly to make a “wallpapered” feature wall. I think it complements the pale pink and yellow stenciled floor perfectly.
I left the vintage mirror hanging and swapped out the floral art I had hanging below for a strand of mercury glass acorns. Here are some links for a few similar strands of acorns: antique silver 5 acorn strand, white mercury glass 5 acorn strand, jute and mercury 3 acorn cluster.
Because we have small kiddos and a cat, real greens on the banister were pretty much out of the question so I found this Angel Pine and Spruce Garland at Michaels and it was the perfect length for our small banister.
I honestly have no clue where I got the small flocked trees but a few years ago I put them in gray terra cotta pots and topped them with wood excelsior. They were the perfect height to tuck in the little nook by our stairs.
Lastly, I wanted a simple little wall grouping on the small wall by the door. A sisal wreath ornament looks so cute over top of a cute little Good Tidings sign from Joanns. This sisal wreath was a gift but I found a cream sisal with gold beads at Joanns this year and Amazon has this green sisal wreath ornament with mixed color beads.
I’m very pleased with how our little entry decor came together and I hope it inspires you as you decorate the small spaces in your home.
Have a wonderful holiday season and a very Merry Christmas!!
